The Journey Behind The Office Of The President For African Creators
I graduated from ESPAM University in Benin Republic with a degree in Computer Science, and I made a choice most people around me didn’t understand. I decided not to chase a job. Because Africa’s job market is brutal, I’d watched too many graduates wait years for opportunities that never came. Still, rent, water, electricity and bills don’t wait for you to figure things out.
Like a lot of young Africans, I kept wondering how to make real money online without cutting corners. I saw creators earning from content and had no clue how. Then one day a video on Instagram stopped me mid-scroll. A young man said, “Stop wasting your time and learn a skill,” and mentioned Facebook’s Meta Blueprint. That led me to affiliate marketing, then to Promptearn and the Automated Income Machine course. From there, my journey into digital product creation began.
The real breakthrough came when I learned how to turn everyday things I already knew into digital products people would actually buy. However, it took time. My first sales came from friends, which wasn’t the smartest strategy, but it taught me something important: social media monetization and content creation are what actually build a brand people trust.
